Freedom Holding Corp., the financial services group founded by Timur Turlov, has become the first Central Asian company featured in Stanford Graduate School of Business' curriculum. The case study examines how a regional brokerage evolved into a digital ecosystem spanning finance, insurance, and telecommunications through its Freedom SuperApp platform.

"We built an environment where people enjoy living, not just a product," said CEO Turlov, emphasizing the company's integrated service model. The study highlights five unconventional growth strategies: pioneering in regulatory gray areas, creating infrastructure where none existed, service bundling, competitive collaboration, and values-driven decision making.

While the case doesn't directly involve cryptocurrency, Freedom Holding's asset-light digital expansion mirrors successful fintech plays in crypto ecosystems. The company's SuperApp strategy bears similarities to exchanges like Binance and OKX that have expanded beyond trading into payments and lifestyle services.
